Roadzen Expands European Insurance Platform With Strategic Acquisition
Roadzen (NASDAQ: RDZN) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a leading technology-driven managing general agent (MGA) specializing in short-term car rental insurance across Europe. The acquisition will be completed through Roadzen Technologies Limited, the company’s India subsidiary, and is designed to strengthen Roadzen’s position in the European embedded insurance market.
The acquired business delivers technology-enabled car rental insurance through API integrations with major rental car partners across multiple European countries, as well as a direct-to-consumer platform. Under the terms of the agreement, sellers may elect to receive either cash or equity in Roadzen Technologies India, a structure the company says is not expected to be directly dilutive to Roadzen shareholders.
