FreeCast Targets New Global Media Opportunity for Telecom and Connectivity Providers
FreeCast (NASDAQ: CAST) is outlining a global strategy designed to help telecommunications and connectivity providers participate in the media economy after consumers connect to their networks. Telecom companies have invested trillions of dollars in fiber, wireless networks, towers, spectrum, and other infrastructure, and FreeCast believes these different connectivity technologies can all generate additional revenue from the media layer rather than competing to control it.
With consumers spending an estimated 2.78 hours per day watching video, FreeCast’s model brings together free ad-supported programming, FAST channels, premium services, sports, movies, subscriptions, advertising, and transactions within a unified consumer experience. The company also reports commercial relationships spanning connectivity and premium television, including Starlink businesses and global content-related initiatives, as it works to expand its platform internationally.
