IGC Pharma Nears Full Enrollment in Phase 2 Alzheimer’s Clinical Trial
IGC Pharma (NYSE American: IGC) is approaching a major milestone in its Phase 2 CALMA clinical trial, having now randomized 160 participants and expecting to complete enrollment after adding up to eight more patients. The study is evaluating IGC-81, the company’s lead drug candidate for the treatment of agitation associated with Alzheimer’s dementia, a condition that significantly impacts both patients and caregivers.
As enrollment nears completion, IGC Pharma is expanding its regulatory, data analysis, and artificial intelligence capabilities while engaging Opus Research to support potential discussions with European regulators. The company expects to report top-line Phase 2 results in the fourth quarter of 2026 and believes positive data could accelerate regulatory planning, strategic pharmaceutical partnerships, and the next stage of clinical development.
