Jan 20, 2026

Energy and clean tech investors: Stardust Power, an American developer of battery-grade lithium carbonate, has received its air quality construction permit from the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality for its planned lithium refinery in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Reporting from the New York Stock Exchange, Jane King explains that this approval represents the final major construction permit, significantly reducing regulatory risk and clearing the path toward a final investment decision. Once operational, the refinery is expected to produce up to 50,000 metric tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate annually, supporting U.S. battery and electric vehicle supply chains.
